This was nothing to do with the people of Greater Manchester and their health - it was simply for AB's self aggrandisement, inflated ego, publicity machine and TV-time bookings. I think he has let himself and his "constituents" badly down and wasted valuable time of all.

God forbid that GM don't fall into issues with hospital capacity/deaths due to the time wasted on correctly being moved to Tier 3.

Thats opinion and not facts!! Your opinion is not one that I respect

Fair enough. ;)

I would again ask you to justify factually or in your opinion the original statement you wrote "Burnham has shown what leadership really looks like over the last few days".

I can then decide whether you are a dyed-in-the-wool Corbynite, a misguided Socialist or simply a bigoted fool.

First tell me how what Andy has done is any different to what is being done in the Brexit negotiations??

FYI - although my grandfather was in the Jarrow Marches, I have predominantly voted Conservative.

Also who I am will never be defined by you!

We're all in Brexit together following a democratic vote. UK v Europe. All for one and one for all...

We're all in Covid-19 together as a national/global pandemic. So Burnham decides that GM are suddenly different and deserving of additional "hand-outs/benefits". All for GM and F*** Off the rest...

Very Andy Burnham !!

So now your justification for "Burnham has shown what leadership really looks like over the last few days" please ?? Or are you Madders' cousin - criticise only and offer no argument/solution ??

OPINION:
Andy Burnham has shown what true leadership is

FACT:
Manchester and Greater Manchester have a bigger population density than any other area or region in Tier 3, this would mean that the same per head is being spent by region. The request for 0.5% of what has been spent on track and trace was to ensure that up 75% of people on the lowest wages/ self employed could have support.

The role of a mayor in Manchester and Greater Manchester is to oversee local economic strategies as well as other arenas such local criminal justice.

It is not the role to the Mayor of Manchester and Greater Manchester to negotiate deals on behalf of other regions in or due to go into Tier 3.

OPINION:
I have no regard for your opinions and i'm not interested in them

Slightly annoyed that I'm not the main JC-acolyte anymore. You do tend to throw these supposed insults around to people who disagree with you, it must make it easier for you to cope.

The Vic "The request for 0.5% of what has been spent on track and trace"

You perpetuating a common mistake here.

Noone has spent £12 billion on track and trace.

£10 billion has been set aside, and partially spent, on TESTING and tracing. Very different.

Still too much, and not (yet) a good result.

I've not fibbed but got an estimate wrong. Accepted the error.

I've also not requested facts. When you actually have something interesting and worthwhile to contribute I might engage with you, but until then adios
